Sennheiser equips its US sales force with Magmito-based mobile app

On-the-go product promotions app receives 100% conversion rate.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – March 17, 2010 – DIDMO has announced that Sennheiser, one of the world's leading manufacturers of microphones, headphones and wireless transmission systems, has successfully leveraged its Magmito mobile content creation platform to implement a mobile B2B product promotion campaign for its sales force.

The application has been accessed by 100% of Sennheiser's US-based sales representatives.

"It's critical that our sales team receive timely and accurate product information and the latest promotions as soon as possible," said Stefanie Reichert, VP Strategic Marketing, Sennheiser Electronic Corporation, Sennheiser's US subsidiary. "The Magmito platform has empowered us to easily reach our sales reps, wherever they might be with the information and content they need to close the sale—all on a device they carry with them everywhere, regardless of make or model."

Sennheiser's mobile B2B product promotion app is updated regularly when new promotions are launched and features overviews and descriptions of current promotions along with photos of featured products, technical specs, special pricing, feedback forms, promotional deadlines as well as other pertinent and timely content. According to Ms. Reichert, the mobile apps are not only easy to create but engaging and have resulted in better and more timely communication between headquarters and field personnel.

"Sennheiser really understands the power of mobile and has been working from the 'inside, out' to gauge the effectiveness of mobile campaigns in communicating with its key stakeholders," said Ted Iannuzzi, VP Sales & Marketing, DIDMO. "They received such positive feedback and quantifiable results from the internal B2B application that together, we have started creating compelling promotions supporting consumer campaigns."

Sennheiser initially launched a test campaign using Magmito to a sample of sales reps in Fall 2009. Since then, they have expanded the program to include their sales force of 40 US-based representatives. Based on the mobile promotion application's success, Sennheiser plans to further enhance the campaign with the incorporation of training and other corporate apps.
